The Foragers are a group of hunters and gatherers based in St Albans. They hunt game and forage wild plants, fruits and fungi from the wild and cook them up at their Wild Food Pub The Verulam Arms – a cosy Victorian local nestled in the shadow of St Albans Cathedral
“Interested in foraging but don’t know where to start? Want to see some of our favourite wild plants in their natural environment, and some of the spectacular uses we find for them at the pub? Join us for one of our foraging walks and feasts.”
As well as a serving a menu of locally-hunted game and seasonally foraged fruit, plants and mushrooms, the pub offers a wide selection of craft beers and real ales (20 taps in total), including 3 beers brewed onsite in The Foragers’ microbrewery. There’s also a menu of wild foraged cocktails, homemade herbal liqueurs, a range boutique spirits, and a list of interesting wines from small European producers.
Menus and information about the pub are viewable through the menus above. For more information about the Foragers themselves, and the foraging experiences they offer to private and corporate customers, please go to the Foraging Experiences section of this website. the-foragers.com/hunt-with-us
